Darryl Hudak’s art has been exhibited at Trestle Gallery at Brooklyn Artist Space and BAG in Gowanus Brooklyn. Recent group exhibitions include 2012 Winter Salon Show at Brooklyn Artist Space and 3Walls group exhibition in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn.
Darryl’s work is informed by his career experiences in industrial, graphic, and furniture design and fine woodworking; as well as home design and restoration. His custom furniture has been featured in Barney’s New York and Bloomingdales, as well as in the Hunter Museum of Art. He has served as Creative Director and consultant to well-known fashion brands including Henri Bendel, Gap., Old Navy, Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Estee Lauder and Keds. Darryl’s work is based on a philosophy of “simplify – edit – prioritize” to achieve honest and pure results.
His work in architectural interiors, furniture, and lighting has been published in The New York Times Home section, Interior Design, Metropolitan Home, Metropolis, Nashville Magazine, andGlass Canada.
A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, Darryl has also taught in Bachelor of Fine Arts programs, including at Tennessee Tech University’s Appalachian Center for Craft in Smithville and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
Darryl lives and works in Brooklyn, where he keeps a studio at Brooklyn Art Space in Gowanus, and in Hillsdale, New York. He has one daughter.
